The Beavers Bend Folk Festival & Craft Show features turn-of-the-century crafts and demonstrations, folk music, a barnyard petting zoo and more. Exhibitors and nearly 70 vendors will feature crafts and skills such as candlemaking, woodturning, the making of lye soap, knife making, quilting, broom making, paper making and blacksmithing. Winter Solstice Walks

These special guided tours are offered at Oklahoma's only prehistoric Native American archaeological site open to the public. Each tour will be one mile of easy walking and about two hours in duration. Archaeologist Dennis Peterson will tell about the powerful Caddoans who created the mounds between 900-1450 A.D., how they became a very important leadership group and why some of the 12 mounds line up to solstice and equinox sunsets. Walks start at 11am, 2pm & 7pm.
