In June and October bluegrass fans flock to Waldron for the Turkey Track Bluegrass Festival. Many lakes, such as Lake Hinkle and Lake Ouachita and dozens of smaller lakes are tucked away among thousands of pines of Arkansas. Viewing fall foliage or dogwoods blooming in the spring is a pleasure when you drive Arkansas Highway 309, a national scenic byway, that winds to the top of Mount Magazine.
